WALA fractions

As part of our learning we are learning about equal sharing and fair shares. We have done a lot on half and dividing into 2 groups. Some of the children knew the word quarter, so here we are dividing counters into 4 equal groups. As you can see, this is a fun activity...especially when we draw on the floor! Our fraction talk led to brownie cooking on Friday, in this way the children understand their learning in a real world context.
